The menu bar app that holds the connection, stores the pairing and drives the Mac side of every feature.

Install

  1. 01Open the downloaded disk image.
  2. 02Drag the app into Applications.
  3. 03Double-click it once. macOS will block the first launch.

First launch

This build is not notarized by Apple, so macOS blocks it the first time. That is expected. The only way to open it:

  1. 01Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  2. 02Click Open next to Beyond the Devices.

You only need to do this once.

Beyond the Devices for Android

Minimum requirement: Android 8.0 (API 26)+

The phone side: clipboard, notifications, media and the pairing code scanner.

Coming to Google Play

The Play listing is not live yet. When it is, this button points at the store — no other change needed.

After installing

Open the app, choose Pair with Mac, and scan the code on your Mac.

Requirements

  • Apple Silicon (arm64) Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later
  • Phone running Minimum requirement: Android 8.0 (API 26) or later
  • Both devices on the same local network

Platforms

Android and macOS only. There is no Windows, Linux or iOS client.
